The Hastings YMCA, as a non-profit organization, relies heavily on community support. Volunteer to help solicit donations annually for YMCA programs and membership.

Every spring the YMCA hosts a sprint triathlon and volunteers are always needed to help direct traffic, check in racers, keeping time, and helping at the finish line!
Kids Fitness and Nutrition Day takes place every fall at the YMCA where we host hundreds of kids from local schools to learn about health and fitness by participating in fun activities throughout the YMCA. Volunteers are needed to help at activity stations and interact in fun games with the kids.
Volunteers are needed at the Whoopers and Hoopers basketball tournament hosted at the YMCA. Help supervise the gyms, works admissions, or ref games.
Tuesday and Thursday mornings the 16th St. Hastings YMCA offers a place for seniors to come in and socialize by playing cards. Volunteer to play cards or welcome the seniors, offering snacks and a smile. Monthly social events/Dances are planned for seniors. Volunteer to help pour beverages and lead organized theme based activities.
Cooking Club connects kids with the kitchen by allowing them to learn how to cook healthy meals and snacks at home! This club always is searching for volunteers to assist kids in our kitchen and helping them learn more cooking skills.
Camp Eigenberg is an exciting summer experience for all of our campers! This outdoor day camp takes place for one week in the summer and connects kids with the outdoors, friends, and summer activities! Camp includes fishing, kayaking, hiking, crafts, swimming, water activities, and more! We search for volunteers to help with camp activities as well as group leaders to take kids from each activity.
Kids get the opportunity to sample many different sports during this camp! Including swimming, volleyball, basketball, soccer, bowling, tennis, baseball, wrestling, cheer, and more! If you specialize in a specific sport, contact the YMCA and volunteer to teach kids the basics and help them find the sports they're passionate about! We also look for volunteers to help lead groups of kids to each activity.
Every November racers line up to participate in our 5K Turkey Trot! This event needs volunteers to help check in racers, help direct traffic, and more!
