JR. BRONCO FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Welcome to the YMCA Jr. Bronco Youth Flag Football League! At the Y, we believe in giving every child the opportunity to play sports, regardless of skill level and experience. The YMCA follows an "everyone plays" motto during the season where every player receives equal practice time and plays at least half of every game. As part of a team, everyone contributes to the team's success. Our youth flag football league is dedicated to building skills, growing character, and learning what it means to be a true sportsman. Our programs are driven by volunteer coaches and positive role models. The Jr. Bronco Flag Football League is a partnership with Hastings College, to offer a special experience to participants. With your registration, you’ll receive a FREE Jr. Bronco jersey!

COACHES NEEDED

Our programs are driven by volunteer coaches and positive role models. The YMCA is always looking for coaches; if you are interested, please specify on the registration form.

2024 FALL SEASON

  • Season Dates: Sundays, September 15 - October 13, 2024
  • Rain Out Date: October 22
  • Divisions:
    1st - 2nd grade
    3rd - 4th Grade
    5th - 6th Grade
    Boys & girls are welcome in any division
  • Registration Opens: July 12, 2024
  • Registration Deadline: August 30, 2024
  • Cost: $41 members  |  $61 non-members  |  $10 late fee
  • Location: Prairie Ridge Park (Behind the Softball Complex)
  • Coach's Meeting: Sept 5, 7:00 pm
  • Parent's Meeting: Sept 4, 6:00 pm (1220 W 18th St./Old YMCA)
  • Equipment: Mouth guards are recommended, rubber cleats (only) may be worn, no jewelry is allowed. Jerseys will be given to players prior to the first game.

2025 SPRING SEASON

  • Dates: Sundays, April 13 - May 18, 2025
    (No games on Easter)

    1st - 2nd grade, Coed
    3rd - 4th Grade, Coed
    5th - 6th Grade, Coed

NEW: ORGANIZED PRACTICES
Led by the Hastings College Football Team, this FREE practice is like a clinic for players and will work on various aspects of the game and improve skills. The practice will be grouped by teams. Just show up, have fun, and learn! Coaches, this is an opportunity for you to have someone else coach practices and also learn how you can do it yourself!
PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Every Thursday during the season:

  • 1st - 2nd grades: 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
  • 3rd - 4th & 5th - 6th grades: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
