Beginner Taekwondo All physical fitness levels are welcome, ages 8 and up. Physical components include warm-ups, stretching, basic blocks, kicks and strikes, forms, and self-defense movements. The class will also incorporate the cognitive and affective elements integral to taekwondo. The course will be conducted in a safe and respectful environment that allows all levels to learn.
Hapkido Hapkido is a Korean martial art that focuses on self-defense and translates to "the way of harmonizing energy". Class will teach students how to use their energy to defend themselves ages 16 and up. Physical components include joint locks, throws, pressure points, striking, and grappling. Hapkido emphasizes circular motion, redirection of force, and control of the opponent, rather than brute strength.
