At the YMCA we offer a wide variety of camps and clinics for the youth in our community! Kids of all skill levels will have the opportunity to learn and participate in our camps and clinics every year! Our goal is to help kids explore the many different sports and develop a love and passion for their favorites! These camps and clinics teach skill building, development, teamwork, and allow kids to find what sport their passionate about!
The Hastings Family YMCA also works hard to bring in athletes from around the state to mentor and host camps at our local YMCA. This provides youth with opportunities to learn from the best and create lasting memories. Check out our camps and clinics listed below.
Join us for 4 weeks on Sunday afternoons as current Hastings College athletes will lead an interactive and hands-on clinic to introduce basketball to the inexperienced and help develop skills to the experienced. This clinic will teach the fundamentals of basketball to beginners (how to dribble, shoot, pass, etc.) and build current skills to the experienced (dribbling without using eyes, proper shooting form, technique, etc.). All levels of skill are encouraged to attend! Parent participation is requested.

Looking for something fun to do this summer? Wanting to improve skills, learn new drills, and be with friends? Thinking about a sports camp but can't decide on a sport? If this describes you and your child/kids, then this camp is for you!
This sports sampler is intended to give participants the opportunity to get a taste of every sport while also making it fun for a sport specific athlete. Participants will be grouped by grades and will complete a circuit, spending time at each sport. Statistics have shown that kids who play multiple sports tend to do better in school, play sports longer through their youth years, and have more fun without getting burnt out from one or two sports. So what are you waiting for? Sign up today!
"My kids loved going to the Sports Sampler Camp. They got to experience some new sports they had never tried before and made some new friends as well. I looked forward to picking them up each day to hear about which sport they enjoyed the best and the fun memories that were made!" - Danielle Hultman
